There were 9,891 people homeless in the week of July 23rd-29th 2018 across Ireland. This figure includes adults and children. The number of families becoming homeless has increased by 24% since July 2017. More than one in three people in emergency accommodation is a child.
On Friday 12 October 2018, a group of Analog Devices Ireland employees are planning a sleep-out to raise money for both Focus Ireland and Simon Community . Focus Ireland and Simon Community challenge homelessness and change lives.
Employees will sleep outdoors on the Analog Devices Campus in Raheen, Limerick from 10pm to 7am to raise attention to the issue of homelessness in Ireland. This is a fundraising event with 100% of all money raised going towards the nominated charities.
