The Forty Acres already feels like home, and I am not even there yet. I am writing this letter today to express how incredibly excited and honored  I am, you are willing to assist me in my college journey. Hook ‘em Horns! I just wanted to share a little more about myself and my plans after I leave the 40 acres in 2024.

I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mansfield Summit High School, but my love of academic success started well before I ever entered the doors of Summit. During 8th grade year I was the sole qualifier in all MISD for the state competition in the National Geographic Bee, placing in the top 50 in the state of Texas. This opportunity sparked the desire to compete for more in High School. Since my Freshman year, I have been a key part of various extracurricular activities as well.  Freshman year: JV captain of the track team, Freshman representative, rising star of the theatre department as well as a member of student council. Sophomore year: Varsity track team, 110 meter hurdles, placing 5th  overall in a field of junior and seniors at the district meet. I continued to hold a leadership position in Theater and was promoted to Sophomore representative. In addition to having a continual role in student council I was inducted into the National Honors Society. Junior year:  in Track I qualified for the Regional 1-6A meet . I was Vice President of Theater and Junior Class representative of the Home Coming Court. The achievement of being named an Advanced Placement Scholar was the icing in the cake.

Senior year: although less than ideal because of COVID-19, it has been an adventure!

I exercised my management skills by taking on the task of managing the Varsity boy’s cross-country team. With my help we were able to ride the wave all the way to State. Traveling to Austin for the state meet and seeing my future campus was indeed a highlight!

On June 2, 2020 I graduated with a 4.1 GPA, in the top 5% of my class. Did I happen to mention I have worked at Chipotle for almost 2 years? I do not say any of this to boast. I share my story to communicate that I understand the value of hard work.

With faith in The Lord, I know that it will take this and determination to be successful at UT. I am honored to become part of the UT legacy that makes us recognized world wide as the BEST & the BRIGHTEST.

When I attend UT in the Fall, I will study Sports Management with a minor in Dutch. A very unique combination that comes with a plan. I will take those degrees and be part of the newly formed professional soccer club in Austin, Austin FC. I will work my way up the ranks dealing with fan experience, Sales Marketing  and player personnel. I will use my experience there to travel overseas to Amsterdam to become a C-level executive at the professional soccer club Ajax FC.

I hope to make the long line of Texas Ex’s proud. Like Longhorns before me, I am proud, ambitious, and determined to change the world for myself, my family, our Nation, and the World. I plan to pay your generosity forward in years to come.  I cannot share with you how incredibly honored I am, that you would consider investing in my education. Although my tuition has been covered by various scholarships, I am still in need of the remaining housing expenses for Jester West. The amount owed toward housing is $12,738.00. Any amount you would consider is appreciated.I look forward to trail blazing with you.  Thank you and I look forward to your response!
