An Accessible Car for Clara!

As a mother of a disabled child, I completely understand the frustrations and anguish around not being able to provide for them. How your situation and finances prevent you from giving your child everything they need, to fulfill their goals and dreams.   That’s why I am starting this fundraising venture, to support a local family who is in this situation.  Julie is a single mother of two beautiful, independent and driven young daughters, the youngest having Cerebral Palsy.  Julie works damn hard to provide for her girls, however, the added expenses associated with disability, are ongoing and enormous.  Clara is a vivacious 14 year old girl who just wants to be like every other 14 year old, and looks forward to spending time with her older sister, going out with her friends and developing her independence from her mum, a milestone all 14 year olds should achieve.  Clara has a power wheelchair, however, can only use it for school as her mum does not have an accessible vehicle, something that is well out of her reach. Clara relies on her mother to transport her everywhere in her manual chair. Clara is totally dependent on her mother.  Julie has to lift and carry Clara from the chair to her car and visa versa, resulting in physical hardship and injury, with long term consequences on her own health.  Please help me raise the funds to purchase an accessible vehicle, to support this beautiful little family. Let’s ensure Clara can reach her goals and dreams, and support this wonderful mother, who wants to provide her daughters the opportunities all children deserve.   Thank you
