Ana's Kidney Match = Husband Danny!

Six years ago this month, Ana Morin learned - completely by accident - that she had kidney disease.
She and her coworkers decided to check their blood pressure one day. Only 25 years old, Ana was surprised to learn her blood pressure was high (180/100). She went to the doctor and learned that BOTH her kidneys where in Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease – Renal Failure.
Ana and Danny had only been married 9-months when they received this devastating news.
Fast-forward to today. After many years of ups and downs, Danny took a leap of faith and went forward with testing to see if he was a candidate to donate a kidney to Ana. They received the news a couple weeks ago that he is a direct match and both his kidneys are healthy. Thank God!
As Danny’s cousin, I have witnessed their strength and love for each other grow as they have faced the many obstacles that have been placed in their young lives. I have started this campaign to help Ana and Danny with the financial hardship they will soon be facing.
Medicare will cover most of the costs for the surgery and everything involved pre-surgery. Post-surgery and recovery time is a whole other ballgame. Danny will be unable to work for 45-60 days. Ana will be unable to work for 90 days. Medicare will discontinue coverage 3 to 6 months after surgery. Ana will be taking anti-rejection medication for the rest of her life, monthly cost is about $5,000. They are self-employed and searching for a great insurance company. They have found that even the best only cover around 80% of their monthly costs.
