Milo's Christmas Miracle

Milo is our 7  month old Golden Labrador puppy. On the morning of December 18th,  we noticed he lost his appetite and wasn't even drinking water. Later on that day he vomited nearly 15 times. Since he didn't eat or drink anything, we took him to the vet at night for some hydration (fluid additives). After 4 days of constant vet visits , where through blood tests and x-rays couldn't figure out what was wrong with Milo.
On Christmas Eve, we rushed Milo to the emergency room after a sonogram revealed that he had two bodies of thread in his abdomen. The thread accumulated overtime from chewing on carpets, playing with socks and being a mischievous puppy.  The threads were wrapped around his intestines and squeezed onto them like an accordion, which was the reason why on the first day he vomited so much to relieve his stomach form continued pressure. Hours previous to the operation one of his organs was punctured from the thread pressure and he began drooling the liquid spilling out of the organ. The surgeon told us that it was a miracle that he had survived for five days undergoing such daily deadly pain. He told us had Milo not made it to the clinic that day he wouldn't be alive the next day. Up to that point Milo's previous vet visits had accumulated to over $1500 in 5 days. Although we were willing to  come up with whatever money the procedure amounted to, when the surgeon told us it would cost  $5500  it was a heart wrenching amount. Since the clinic didn't take any insurance we were able through the help of friends and family come up with the amount so Milo could undergo the operation. An amount that is a huge unexpected financial burden on our family. My father is the main source of income for the family, he is a waiter working in NYC under very strict COVID restaurant regulation which has cut his income in half. Since he already has to support a family of six, he unfortunately can't contribute to Milo's operation. Our family normally wouldn't look to the public for financial help, but under current financial circumstance we ask of anyone for any amount of donation. Any amount that you'd be generous enough to give would be a huge help. God bless you for your contribution.
