An Oil Painting for Gracia Jones

My name is Marcelo Bighetti. I'm from Brazil currently living in Provo UT attending BYU.

The First time I heard about Gracia Jones was when I read her article  My Great-Great-Grandmother, Emma Hale Smith, published in the Ensign Magazine in August 1992. Five years ago our friendship started when I invited her to speak at a virtual fireside for three stakes in Brazil, A Tribute to Emma .

Three weeks ago I found this painting for sale on KSL , Emma's Sorrow by Clark Kelley Price. This image was used in Gracia's article, which portraits Emma's deep feelings. When I saw it my first thought was, Gracia deserves this painting. I wish I had money to buy it, then I called the owner asking for a donation for Gracia, who is the first descendant of Joseph and Emma to be baptized in the Church. Unfortunately she was not willing to do that. Then I ask her to put the sale on hold and give me one month to raise the money.

So this is the purpose of this campaign. Help us to raise the money to buy this painting and give to Gracia, the person who deserves it the most.

Thank you.
