An motorized wheelchair to overcome my disability

Donation protected
Hello everyone! I am Timothée , a French law student,  and I suffer from some kind of cerebral palsy since birth, due to pregnancy complications. I am quite happy with my life , and I manage to live almost normally thanks to daily appointments with physiotherapists. I even managed to obtain a Bachelor law degree this year :)

However, I am still not completely independant yet. I still need help from my parents, especially from my mother, with whom I live.

At this point, you probably guessed that I do not want my disability to prevent my dreams from coming true. I am indeed planning to go studying in the Netherlands for my second year of post-graduate degree, in one year from now, to the welcoming Tilburg University.

Specifically, I dream of becoming an "Administrateur à l'Assemblée Nationale", which is a kind of senior public official which advises parlementarians about the legal implications of the laws they have to discuss daily.

In other words, I'd simply like to serve my country by contributing to improve its law. The Tilburg University 's MSc in "Public Administrations, Economics and Laws" would thus be an ideal way to acquire the interdisciplinary knowledge I need.

Unfortunately,  I am not able to walk by my own from a very long distance, which means I need to rest quite often. It would therefore be difficult to me to be able to live abroad without some kind of mechanical help. I told my neurologist about my projects and she answered me that a motorized wheelchair would meet my needs and solve my issue, a device called "Minotor" by Benoit Systèmes.

With this kind of device, I would be able to cross Tilburg and to run my errands by my own.

Sadly, this kind of device is rather expansive : we made a cost estimate with a specialized seller, Medivie , and I would have to pay around 4106 €, almost 4600 USD, to get this motorized wheelchair. Unfortunately, I am not eligible for a scholarship in my country, and we are simply not able to pay such a large amount, added to the university's tution fees and to the accomodation prices in Tilburg.

I am the type of man who hates asking for help. However, as of today, the price of this wheelchair is preventing me from achieving my dreams.

Please, I'm begging you all to help me. I worked very hard to get where I am today ,  conciliating my health issues with my studies. Please, don't let my life until now turn to a waste.

I hope you will understand my situation.  Thank you very much!
