An amazing girl

Gabby is a fun, loving 24 year old girl who has never let her severe health problems dampen her infectious smile. Gabby was born missing the right side of her heart which caused significant damage to her heart and irreversible liver damage. A heart and liver transplant was the only way to keep Gabby alive. This past April, she received the great news that she was finally able to get a second chance at life. After 25 days in Montefiore Hospital's PICU, she received the donor match and underwent a heart and liver transplant. 25 days later, she was discharged home. As you can imagine, the hospital bills incurred are astronomical. Gabby's mother consequently had to take a leave from work in order to care for Gabby. Her follow up care consists of frequent travel back and fourth from Long Island to Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, in hopes she remains healthy and to ensure that there has been no organ rejection. Although, Gabby does not know what its like to not be free of health problems, she always remains positive and happy. She is truly a breath of fresh air. We have organized this Gofund me page in hopes to help this family with incurred medical bills, which are currently at almost 2 million dollars.
