Hi everyone,
Hope this message finds all of you well! I'm SO grateful for the time I spent in Hanoi, Vietnam not long ago in September and October 2017 serving the J-Club ministry in partnership with Harmony Outreach, and would love to serve there for a longer term (approximately 2 years) starting at the latest in January 2018. I've gotten word from their Director Khai Huyen that the need for additional support staff in their office is, at present...very great! If you're new to hearing about the work there, J-Club holds English and Korean classes to Vietnamese college students and various age groups, just blocks away from the Vietnam National University of Agriculture.
The current plan is for me to continue on with my role as an ESL Teacher/Tutor using the FriendSpeak materials and other conversational English lessons, share at local house churches in the area, and help out with administrative needs as a liason in partnership with Harmony Outreach.
As much as I'd like to return as soon as I'm able to help the ministry sooner than January, obviously there is a need for me to fund part of my way there as the J-Club ministry is a young organization that does not have the wherewithal to support all of my living expenses. I've never initated a fundraising project of this magnitude before, the amount I'm setting forth to raise is a little bit daunting to me!
Partnering with those of you interested in supporting me on a monthly basis would be so ideal, if you are able to make a pledge to this project, for about 2 years. Your monthly gift of $5, $10, $50, or $100 per month, would help me support the work at J-Club in discipleship, training, and the local Christian church in Hanoi.
Even if you cannot commit to giving on a monthly basis, I would so appreciate your support with any one-time gifts and prayers to continue the work that God has so clearly started in Hanoi.
I also love hearing from my co-workers, friends, and family when I'm on the field or here in the States - please let me know if there is any way that I can support you in prayer as well!
