2 Month Mission Trip to Nicaragua

As many of you know, I have had the privilege of serving and working at an orphanage for 1-2 weeks each year for the past seven years in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua. I have recently finished my degree at James Madison University and, before I start a full-time job, I have the opportunity to serve the kids and this community for a longer period of time through an internship with Christian Fellowship Church in my hometown of Ashburn, Virginia.
La Iglesia Cristiana Verbo is a church run by Pastor Earl Bowie and his wife Damaris. Together, they are responsible for the church (membership is about 300 and growing), over 100 orphans ranging in age from 2-21, and Verbo Christian school with around 1,000 students. Verbo supports the surrounding community as well, including the feeding center which provides food for 500 chidren per day; food "drops" for families in el Caminante (the town dump) and working with the farm in Betania (affected by Hurricane Felix in 2007).
Each year I have gone to Nicaragua I have done a number of different things - everything from construction projects at the orphanage, church and surrounding community to participating in activities with all of the kids and sharing the Gospel with teen girls. When I go later this month, I will be tutoring, mentoring and working more with the teen girls and starting important health initiatives within the orphanage. Having spent the last 8 years as a WyldLife leader, relational ministry is an important part of my life; I want to continue to build my connections with the kids and staff at the orphanage and feel called to go back at this time in my life.
In order to pay for the travel expenses and room and board for this opportunity, I need to raise financial support. Having just finished college, I cannot afford to pay for this 2 month internship myself. I understand that everyone reading this can't send money - but I would really value your prayers for this venture!
