My name is Amy Britton Baird, I am 43 years old, and I am praying for a kidney. My doctors tell me that I am high on the transplant list and I should be hearing from the Transplant Center soon.
I am the wife of Eddie Baird and we have two beautiful daughters ages 13 and 11.
My mother, Lynn Carroll, taught at Kemp Intermediate School for many years.
The Transplant Center tells me that I need to cover 20% of my medical expense, enough money to cover my drugs for the first month, and housing close to Baylor so that I can be monitored for the first 8 weeks.
I know the amount that I am requesting help in raising is a great deal of money, but we are working people and I have to face the reality that this procedure will not happen without the help of my church, community and friends.
Please keep my family and me in your prayers. God willing and with your help I will be ready when a kidney becomes available.
