Please Support Theatre for Social Action

Hi folks,
Yes, it's true "“ as the Wonderstuff put it way back when "“ "it's your money I'm after baby":.but don't hang up:.no one likes being asked for cash I know but at least read on for 60 seconds to hear what compelling project has led me to do the dirty deed of asking you to dig deep.

If nothing else, it'll give your ego a rush as you briefly indulge the fantasy that you are a decision maker on Dragon's Den, and let's be honest, who doesn't crave the illicit thrill of unalloyed power?
But enough of that for now:

As you may or may not know, over the last two years, I have been training in theatre-making, spending 18 months in actor training with CORE Theatre Arts Lab and as of September 2013, training in physical-theatre directing with Point Zero Physical Theatre, both based in Oxford. My aim is to devise and direct performing arts work that fuses theatre, activism and conflict transformation, empowering ordinary people to take action together for positive social change.

I'm currently aiming to raise £5000 for a physical-theatre piece, that will explore the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and in particular focus on the relationship of this part of the world to Britain and British citizens. It's a biggie I know! I also know that it's a provocative topic that raises many questions and about which many of my friends, family and acquaintances hold diverse views. It's difficult to make a clear statement about the stance of the piece at present as it is currently in development but if you do have questions that you would like answered please email me direct and I'll be very happy to answer them.

Other than that, all I ask is that you please watch the video above if you haven't already and make up your own mind as to whether this exciting project is something you want to invest in. No hard feelings at all if you don't or can't and a huge, very grateful thank you to all those who can and do.

Love Amy xx

p.s. to all the nonviolent activist folk, the boxing reward levels will make sense when you see the final piece!
