Who Are We?
Undies for Everyone (UFE) is a non-profit organization that gives new underwear, a basic need we all take for granted, to disadvantaged elementary and middle school students in Houston, Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, and San Antonio, Texas. Our operation is lean but inspired. In expanding our reach to multiple cities this year, we’ve set our sights high -- doubling our distribution figures -- and are determined to meet them!
What Do We Do?
Remember that time you had an accident in class and put on a spare pair? The kids we serve have no spare pair. In fact, they may share with their siblings, or even lack underwear entirely. The National Association of School Nurses found that the #1 item requested by school nurses is underwear.
UFE has committed to delivering 468,000 pair of undies all over Texas to help disadvantaged students stay clean, confident and in class for the upcoming back to school season.
We’re Almost There
But, it’s a race against time. We still need to raise $20,000 to buy 20,000 pair of boys underwear to fulfill our promises before school begins in August. All that’s left is the last 4% of the funds to meet the needs of the children we serve.

Since 2012, Undies for Everyone has developed systems that improve our efficiency and mission. We’ve negotiated low wholesale costs from manufacturers, we’ve lined up literally thousands of volunteers to sort and package the underwear in a timely manner, and we’ve arranged with school nurses in school districts and comprehensive efforts in cities we serve to distribute underwear to those kids who need the dose of dignity that Undies for Everyone provides.
Recipients This Year At A Glance
● 1,611 schools (in 58 districts) will receive an assortment of 150 pair of undies before the start of the school year
● Undies works with many types of schools: Early Childhood Centers, K-8 Schools, Middle/Junior High Schools, and Elementary Schools, providing underwear ranging from 2T-3T to size 16 for girls, and from 2T-3T to size XL for boys
● 123,225 pair of underwear will be distributed to students attending city-sponsored back to school events for disadvantaged families
