Amy and Adam Root

This video went viral in 2016 and is a living testimony of love, with God sustaining this amazing couple throughout their difficult journey!  In 2010 Adam had a debilitating head injury and was in a comatose state for ten months.  The doctors said he would be in a comatose vegetative state for the rest of his life, not being able to walk, talk, or understand language, and would need around the clock nursing care.

But Amy declared that her God was bigger than his brain injury and prayed for healing, which God miraculously performed, defying the doctors’ prognoses.  Now he is able to walk, talk and understand language, and is home with Amy – praise God!!!   She stayed with him, caring for him, honoring her covenant marriage vow to him in spite of the level of deficits they face every day.  Most importantly, her love and appreciation for him widened, their difficulties making her stronger as she leaned heavily on God to take their burdens.

Though God’s miraculous healing went way beyond what the doctors said, Adam still has severe memory loss and many daily seizures.  He is scheduled for three more brain surgeries (making a total of 17).  The family has never asked for anything, but I feel moved to ask for them, as the journey is both difficult and expensive and we are told to: 

“Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).

So I prayerfully started this Go Fund Me page for them to help with the costs associated with multiple hospital stays, to ease their burden.  May God get the glory for answering prayers for both healing and meeting financial burdens!  Thanks for joining me in supporting this beautifully loving couple.
