Amrita Joy Ananda Ma Family Memorial Fund

Friends of Amrita Joy Ananda Ma, in the wake of her recent transition I am calling on your help.

Amrita always sought out collaboration and win-win scenarios in all her interactions, so my heart’s desire is to find a way to make that happen in her death as well.

I asked Amrita’s family how they would like to receive donations to bring ease after her transition. Her family said they would like donations to go towards helping someone (or several people) who could benefit from her friends’ generosity.

Amrita’s brother, Chris, will be traveling from Seattle to Escondido to clean out Amrita’s apartment and complete loose ends there. He only has two days - three days maximum - to complete this task. This is a lot for just one person, especially someone who is experiencing active grief.

Because there are many loved ones of Amrita who desire to help at this time, as well as people in Amrita’s San Diego community who are in need of work, I offered a suggestion to Amrita’s family.

I suggested the donations be paid to Chris. Then Chris could distribute the funds to people who need work and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to help if they were paid.

The family said the idea is beautiful and they like the idea of giving people work who need it.
