Amory's Cancer Treatments

In 2006 Amory was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgykins Lymphoma. The cancer was discovered after noticing a lump in his neck and underwent a biopsy witch came back positive for cancer. He underwent 6 rounds of chemo therapy over the course of 6 months and got good news that the treatments were working and his body was responding well. Amory then had to do 4 rounds of maintenance therapy over the next 2 years. After a clean set of scans and blood work, we were extremely happy to be cancer free after 3 years of treatment! Since then Amory married his wonderful wife Lori and they have 2 beautiful son’s named Ethan (3) and Evan (1). They moved down to Marion, IL and have been enjoying all the great memories starting a family brings. Unfortunately, after noticing symptoms in late 2016 we were told the cancer had returned. After testing, the doctor told us it was the same type of cancer that was diagnosed in 2006. Unexpectedly, we received more bad news that another cancer was also detected during the process. Amory was also diagnosed with stage 3 Thyroid cancer and was immediately referred to the oncology surgeon. Within days of meeting the surgeon he found himself on the operating table and an uncertain future wondering how he was going to be able to take care of his family while undergoing treatments and surgery.  He knew this could  potentially be a long and uncertain road, having been through it once before.
