Help Amirah Reach Her Ballet Goals

My name is Amirah Muhammad and I am 17 years of age. I have been training in ballet since the age of 3. For as long as I can remember, I have loved ballet. Actually, my mom placed the love of ballet and classical music in me while she was pregnant with me.
My parents tell me that at age 4, I told them I wanted to be a ballerina, violinist and doctor when I grew up. With your help, I can achieve my dream of becoming a highly trained professional ballerina dancing with a major ballet company.
It is an honor and privilege for me to train this year at American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive in New York City, their most advanced summer intensive program.
For many, the dream of becoming a professional ballerina is unattainable because the high level of training is quite costly. Items like, pointe shoes, character dance shoes, flat shoes, leotards, ballet skirts and tutus needed for ballet class/productions also add to the cost of training.
I need your help to raise enough funds for 5 weeks of intensive training at the American Ballet Theatre in NYC this summer. Training at such a prestigious program, can be the launching pad for a professional ballet career. I am eager to increase in my technique, artistry and performance. I am excited and honored to be at this stage in my ballet life!
Now this is where I need your help...
I need to raise $7500 to pay for my summer tuition($3000), room & board($3500), and dance supplies($1000).
In the future I plan to pay it forward and use my gift of ballet to give back to my community by setting up an organization to teach high quality ballet to underserved communities throughout the country. I also plan to one day create wonderful productions of my original ballet works for new audiences.
