I am Amica Simmons Yon. I am a servant of Church at the Park in Durham, NC serving alongside my husband, Pastor Raphael Yon. I am a wife, a mother, leader of the praise, worship and dance ministries, a licensed Pharmacist and a health services reseacher. While all of those roles are excellent, my highest calling is to continuously have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ! For me, this entails serving.
Poverty. Spiritual darkness. Hunger. For millions of people in Bangladesh, their struggle for daily existence is shrouded with the pain of hopelessness apart from Christ.
God has called us to help set the captives free by parterning with the Light of Hope Learning Center http://bffministry.wix.com/bffministry . In Bangledesh, millions of men, women and children are crying out for freedom and release from poverty, hunger and spiritual darkness. In my humble service to God, it has been placed upon my heart for the people of Bangledesh to receive the love of Christ through my and our missions team work.
While in Bangledesh we will continue establishing Light of Hope Learning Centers where girls and women come away from the streets and the danger of human trafficking and enter into a place of nuturing and upliftment. Girls and young women are receiving an education, vocational training, nutrition, hygiene, and best of all—faith and freedom in Jesus Christ.
This is a united effort and with your love and donations our mission and vision will move forward. Please take a moment to pray and consider a sacrifice for the many women and girls who are need of support in Bangladesh. I am humbly requesting your assistance in raising funds for a mission to this area, which is in need of the gospel, faith, love and freedom. Please help me in my goal to raise $1700 for this great commission by November 1, 2014. All funds donated are tax deductible. All donations no matter how big or small are greatly appreciated.
