SUPPORT HARMONY'S FIGHT AGAINST ARDS!

Harmony Hannachi, as many of you know, was diagnosed with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) approximately three weeks ago following an emergency surgery on her Colon.  Harmony had been battling a mystery illness for a couple of months that was misdiagnosed by a family doctor as depression/nervous breakdown. By the time Harmony was admitted to the hospital her hemoglobin and nutritional levels were already devastatingly low. The surgery appeared to go flawlessly. However, during recovery complications arose in her lungs.  The days following the surgery were very scary as Harmony laid there in a medically induced unconsciousness on a respirator.  The days, that have now turned into weeks, have been terrifying for her family as she has now developed pneumonia, been put back on the respirator and again in a medically induced coma. The doctors still have no answers for the overall cause of her illness.

Harmony’s family and friends have banned together to be by her side as well as caring for her two young daughters.  Her husband has stood bed side nearly the entire time only leaving to work minimal hours keeping the family finances from going completely under.  When Harmony comes home (and I have all of the faith in the world that she will) her road will be a trying one. Harmony will need plenty of support recovering from ARDS and rebuilding her poor nutrition as well as caring for her daughters.   The average person that survives ARDS has at minimal several months of rehabilitation. Our goal is to raise funds to offset financial burdens such as day to day expenses and household bills so that Harmony and her family can focus on her fight to survive.
