I hate that I have to do this, but hello, my name is Aeman. Life was going good until I had intense pain in my bladder and side. I was dumb enough to ignore it and work (I work 6 days a week) and continue working. Come to find out, my appendix ruptured. I had to have emergency surgery and was in the hospital for 7 days. I had to use up all my PTO and sick time during that time, and I couldn’t go back to work until 10 days later. Now that I got my hospital bill, I thought my health insurance would help, but nope! I got slapped with a $26,784 bill. It’s basically another car note. I live on my own, I go to school online, and work full time, and was still ending the month with about $300-$400 left. But now with this, I’m struggling and in major debt. So please… anything would help. American health care is a joke. Because of this sudden emergency, I damn near am going bankrupt. It drained my savings and then some. I can’t afford it. I hate asking for help from others, but I feel defeated and don’t have any other choice.
