The historic America Legion Verdugo Hills Memorial Hall parking lot needs to be upgraded to
comply with community safety standards. We have researched the costs and need to raise $24,000 to bring the parking lot into compliance.  This upgrade needs to be done as soon as possible.

 Verdugo Hills Memorial Hall was built in 1925 by the veterans of American Legion Post 288 and it became a social center in the Crescenta Valley. It was located on Fairway and Rosemont until the flood of New Year’s Day 1934 knocked it off its foundation. The building was relocated and rebuilt on its present site on La Crescenta Ave. and Manhattan. The 93-year old building is widely used today by veterans and youth groups in the Crescenta Valley. The Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America use the Hall and the parking lot for their annual Scouting For Food
event.
