This is our daughter Amelie. She is 14 years old and currently in Year 10 at secondary school. As some of you know, she has been lucky enough to be chosen as one of thirteen children at her school to visit Rwanda in June next year.

Her school have recommended that she fundraise towards the cost of the trip and try to raise as much as she can herself. So far she has been doing this by baking every weekend for friends and family, puppy sitting and carrying out odd jobs including making meals for family members. She even applied for a weekend job but unfortunately was unsuccessful due to her age.

We are so proud of her for wanting to push herself beyond her comfort zone and embrace this incredible opportunity and experience. She works so hard and is just such a lovely lovely girl, we couldn’t be prouder of her. The overall cost is around £2200 and we are about halfway to our target so far. If you would like to help her in raising funds for this amazing opportunity, she, and we, would be so grateful. We also have a bank account set up which we are adding to as much as we can which I can provide details of.

Also, if you are local and have any little odd jobs you would like to offer Amelie to earn money, please just let us know, as she is keen to raise as much as she can herself. She makes a banging millionaire shortbread if you’d like to place an order!
