Amelia's Youth Leadership Conf.

Amelia has the chance of a life time! She has been invited to participate in a National Youth Leadership Conference in San Jose, CA. 

This forum gives her the to opportunity to spend a week on campus in dorms with other children from around the country learning from top scientists and astronauts. In this week she will design a mission it mars, learn life saving critical thinking skills in different medical situtations, run through a CSI situation and in the end test her mission to mars to see if it would be a successful flight.

Amelia has wanted to be a doctor her whole life. She has changed her mind a few times about what type of doctor and where to be one but currently she is very inspired to be in cardiology. Amelia has always been a big dreamer and she pushes herself so hard in her studies and achieves straight A's with her dedication and drive toward her goals. She chooses to stay after school and go into her classes on her lunch breaks to get additional help and redo assignments for higher grades...all on her own. " I won't settle for anything less than a B" she told me once as we were discussing her dedication to her grades. She knows college is expensive and she plans on qualifying for academic scolarships. She blows us away ❤

This opportunity to be emersed in science and technology for a week would really give her a taste of what the world has to offer her.
