Amelia Marie Aleshire was born on 11/2/19 and experieced complications shortly after she arrived. For 3 days her family surrounded her with love and support in the NICU while the medical staff searched to find an answer and eventually it was discovered that she had suffered a traumatic intracranial hemorrhage during her delivery..... Finding the hemorrhage has provided an answer that was much needed but it has also left her family with uncertainties and the realization that Amelia's journey is guaranteed to require an extended hospitalization. Amelia's neurologist has told her parents that they can expect to be in the hospital for likely a month. At this time the diagnosis has increased not only the expectation of her length of stay but also the intensity of the necessary monitoring. It remains unclear if Amelia will require a transfer to the Twin Cities for the specialty of a neonate neurosurgeon. The other realization is that leaving the hospital will not be the end of Amelia's medical needs. Because of the damage that her brain suffered, Amelia will likely require medical attention and extra opportunities as she blazes her path through life.
Amelia's parents, Justin and Tara, along with her big sister Lilly are by her side 100% . Those that love this family hope that helping with the burden of the financial strain will only benefit Amelia's recovery and increase her chances to fulfill all her capabilities. There is no doubt that this little girl and her family are surrounded by so much love and support. All the proceeds from this collection will go directly to the medical bills that Amelia's family will be left with along with the necessary expenses to allow her parents to remain by her side and provide for her in the ways that she needs the most right now.
