In order to fund these privately organized, non-profit events, we've always impressively come together as a strong, animal rights community and made this thing happen! In the two years that we've done this, we've had over 70 people participate, even in our first year! And we've brought Vegans and animal rights activists together who had never met another Vegan or animal rights activist in town! And I believe, we encouraged some incredible spirit for continuing to educate and advocate for the basic right to life for the most deserving and vulnerable beings. This year we will again come together to sign the Declaration of Animal Rights, speak on behalf of the animals, and make memories and connections that will last lifetimes. In order to make this happen again this year, a little at a time, let's raise what we need to commemorate, educate, and celebrate for animal rights.
Total costs of the event:
$250 Loussac Library fountain area space rental $100 sound system rental $50 photographer $50 fabric to cover the stage $50 construction of stand to hold National Animal Rights Day banner Total: $500
After last year's event, we had $75 from t-shirt sales and donations and I am donating $100 from Vegan t-shirts that I designed that we sold at last year's event which brings the total need down to $325.
I can't imagine a better team than this one, made of the incredible people I've been able to work with. This will truly be a spectacular year.
Donations will go specifically to the Anchorage, AK NARD event and money raised over the goal will fund food for the event!
