Help Amberly fight Kidney disease!

Hello! Im Amberly’s long time friend and created this gofundme in hopes that you would be part of her village to help her ongoing battle with kidney disease.

Amberly was diagnosed with Kidney Disease (IGA Nephropathy) back in 2015. Since then, she has been bravely battling kidney failure and undergoing multiple medical treatments. In April 2023, she received a life-saving live donor transplant. However, just one year later, her biopsy revealed chronic severe rejection. To keep tackling this giant, Amberly started on a rigorous 21-day round of anti-rejection treatments in the hospital, hoping for positive results. Despite efforts, a subsequent biopsy showed her kidney was rejecting even more aggressively. Rather than giving up on her "Jylliebean" kidney and returning to the donor list and dialysis, Amberly has chosen to pursue additional treatments. Her kidney is still holding strong, but time is of the essence to prevent permanent damage. Amberly's treatment plan includes PLEX (plasmapheresis), IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulin), high-dose steroids, and Bortezomib (chemotherapy). These treatments aim to suppress her immune response and eliminate rejection, allowing her body to accept Jyll's kidney. Amberly has begun her treatments and will be admitted for another 21 days, followed by another biopsy. With over 40 days spent in the hospital, numerous treatments, medications, and missed work, Amberly could use some support during this challenging time. She would never ask for the help, but I know her body needs the rest in between these treatments and the last thing she should be worried about is the financial stress that comes with medical treatments even with insurance.
