Amber & Kyle CampFire Recovery Fund

Amber Hoffeld & Kyle Henker are two young, hardworking people who's lives changed drastically last week because of the Camp Fire. Amber is a Ag teacher at Durham High School and Kyle is in the process of transitioning from Cal Fire to fabrication, currently working on getting his welding certs to then start his own business.
A quote from Amber, "We self evacuated that morning. I heard sirens while I was getting ready for work, left around 7 and a bunch of police and fire crews were going past me. I got by butte college and saw the smoke. When I got to work, I texted Kyle saying there was a fire so he looked it up and it seemed pretty far. I was at work for maybe half an hour and got the call they were evacuating Pentz road and we lived on the lower part so I called him and told him to start packing and getting animals ready while I raced home. We grabbed some clothes, basic toiletries and our animals and got out by 9 before it got to our area."
Thankfully they were able to leave their home with some clothing, basic toiletries and their animals. But everything else has been destroyed. This was confirmed by Kyle's Cal Fire crew the day the fire started. They are currently staying at Kyle's parents house in Chico, until they can rebuild.
Amber mentioned how weird it would be to ask for help, seeing how thee two are usually the ones to give it. She feels blessed by what they DO still have and is maintaining a positive attitude moving forward.
Every little bit helps to getting these young folks back on their feet and replacing all that was lost. Thank you so much for taking the time to read their story and ANY amount donated is MUCH appreciated.
