Amber & Moore Family Eaton Fire Loss

Donation protected
We have lost everything. Everything we’ve known is now gone.

Hello everyone. My name is Amber. My family is from Altadena and it is the only place we have truly called home. (I don’t currently have an image of our now destroyed home because we haven’t gone to see it as this is still too painful.) I lived with my grandma and my parents in my grandmother’s house on Glenrose Ave.

My grandmother Ann Byrd (retired from PUSD)(83) bought her house in 1967 and it was the home my mother grew up in as well as me and my sister. We have lost everything along with several other members in my family because ALL of my immediate family members all owned houses just streets away from each other. We have put everything into our home that is now lost. All of this still isn’t real to me. This has impacted my entire family’s mental health. My grandmother has given my parents, sister and I a place to live and call home for many years. She is the only one among all of us who is a homeowner and unfortunately, the Eaton fire has taken all of that away.

We’re not sure where to go from here but Altadena is all we know so being us devastated is an understatement. I am praying for all of the other La Canada members who lived in Altadena that are affected by this tragedy. I know most of us have never been through something so traumatic so anything you are able to donate will greatly help and would mean so much. Donations will be spent to temporarily get us by.
