For the last 12 years, a small group of Yapese church leaders, members, and community supporters have organized and hosted a summer gathering of Yapese residing abroad, primarily in Washington, Oregon, Texas, and Nevada. This gathering is not like any assembly, but one that allows the Yapese community to come together to participate in competitive athletic sports, while also building relationships with ourselves and the community, and growing our faith in the Lord.

This year, we will be hosting the 12th Annual Northwest Waab Summer Games in Oregon.

In years before, we have been blessed to be sponsored by the Yapese community that resides in the Tacoma area, but as our numbers have grown, the need for additional funds has grown.

I have been tasked to lead and coach a group of young men, age ranging from 18-45 years of age. With that, I am creating this GoFundMe page to help raise $500 to specifically cover the cost of uniforms for the 15 players of my basketball team. The team has many other heftier expenses such as gym and equipment rental fees; we will also have to consider the 4 days of lodging while in Oregon for the games. So any additional funds received will go towards those expenses.
