Amari's 2018 Debutante

Dear Family, Friends and Supporters,
I am honored to be a debutante in the 2018 Forever Pink Foundation Debutante Cotillion sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter.
The Debutante experience is a rite of passage and presentation to society for young women. Several goals are targeted for me as a participant, such as personal growth and preparation to be a leader in service to the African-American community. The Cotillion will also provide me with the opportunity to enhance my skills in educational, cultural and social programs. The activities and training sessions are geared to motivate me. My mentors aim to inspire me to strive for higher standards of living, enhance confidence, and encourage me to participate in cultural and community service, as well as solidify career goals.
As a debutante, I have the opportunity to engage in fundraising activities for scholarships. The proceeds are channeled back into the community by awarding scholarships to deserving high school students. A portion of the proceeds will be used for me to attend college. I will be attending Spelman College as an Honors Scholar.
I am appealing to all of my wonderful family and my friends to support me by making a donation on my behalf using my electronic fundraising campaign.
Please know that NO donation is too small and EVERY donation is greatly appreciated.
The Debutante Cotillion will be held at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel at 6 pm on Saturday, March 24. I hope to see you all there!
