I am ready to put my vision and dreams for a small food business into motion!! I just need some help getting my idea off the ground.
Starting small allows me to focus on creative combinations, good ingredients, quality and freshness, always choosing to make things from scratch. I hope to be able to grow this idea into a food truck, selling at Farmer's Markets, and perhaps down the road, even a store front cafe.
MY VISION:
For now, I will start with a rotation of about 10 different freshly baked cookies/pastries and 8 different cold beverages. After a few months, my vision is to add quesadillas made with hand made tortillas. With the quesadillas I would have fresh salsas and special toppings. I will sell these items from a cart in the neighborhood park. Lanark Park is a major city park with youth and adult sporting events during the week and every weekend During this time frame there is a huge influx of people. There are already about a half dozen other vendors present in the park but none are selling items that will overlap with my own.
This is a very exciting time - and your support would mean more than just financial backing. Your support will supply me with personal encouragement to sustain me during the hard work ahead.
The funds that I do raise will go towards production costs which include ingredients and other consumables like packaging and marketing items like flyers and stickers. It will also help defray the cost of one or more items from my equipment wishlist.
Equipment wishlist:
A portable grill for cooking tortillas and making quesadillas. (with accessories, approx $500)
A beverage cart with insulated compartments. $1200

A large capacity, heavy duty mixer . (I found a used one similar to this at a local restaurant supply store for $999)
A countertop convection oven . (I found a used one for $1100)
Large capacity food processor . (approx $500)
