Amanda's Medical Relief Fund

At 16, Amanda was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. It is an inflammatory bowel disease that affects her gastrointestinal tract. 
Symptoms include intense abdominal pain, fever, bleeding, and weight loss, as well as, a weakened immune system. Treatments include an eight week IV infusion followed by administered shots every few weeks in order to keep her syptoms repressed.
 
Recently, due to a severe flare up, Amanda has been immensely sick and unable to work or go to school. She has been in and out of the hospital over several months and the medicine she was on abruptly stopped working, leading to an even worsened condition. Her aggravated state caused her to develop a fistula, requiring her first ever surgery that has prevented her from working, moving excessively, and complications that caused a prolonged recovery. 

Any funds, no matter the amount, will go towards Amanda's extensive medical and medicinal costs. Every donation is appreciated more than can be expressed. 

Amanda is headstrong and independent, often refusing to ask others for help and assistance. This setback in her health is affecting her greatly and she is distraught with not being able to do anything. 
She is currently still recovering but she is hopeful her new medication will aid in remission. Those around her support her and try to help as much as they can. 

With hopes to enter remission for her disease and return to school, Amanda wishes to enter nursing school and become a pediatric nurse to give back the amazing support she received herself.
