Uganda Village Project Internship

This summer I have been accepted to be an internship team member with the Uganda Village Project (UVP). The Uganda Village Project is a non-profit organization that works with communities in the Iganga district to promote public health and sustainable development. The public health aspect of UVP has three main areas of focus: Healthy Villages, Safe Water, and Obstetric Fistula Surgeries. I will be traveling to Uganda for 8 weeks this summer and will be working directly with UVP and communities in the Iganga District to assist in the Healthy Villages module. The Healthy Villages module focuses on prevention for malaria and HIV/STIs, household sanitation and hygiene practices, and family planning access. I am raising money for my intership because I have to pay my own way to get there as well as the internship fee from Uganda Village Project. The intership fee is $2,250 which pays for my accomodations, food, and money for the program itself to keep running. I am also raising money for my flight to get over there which can cost anywhere from $1,000-$3,000. Any leftover money that is raised will be donated directly to the Uganda Village Project. I need the money for the intership by May 1st. 
Donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated as I am a graduate student studying Public Health. I strongly believe that this organization does great things and I know that after my experience in Uganda I will have knowledge that surpasses anything I could have learned in the classroom.
