Amanda and Mason's car Accident

On the night of Sept. 19th, Mason and Amanda Dixon were returning home when a reckless driver in a Mustang convertible failed to yield and raced right through the intersection, colliding with them. They had no chance to react before their Prius hit head-on into the Mustang, causing them to lose control and subsequently hit a brick building, also head on totaling their car.

The liable driver, who was not wearing a seat belt and driving with expired tags, managed to walk away from the accident unharmed. Mason suffered minor injuries, such as bruised ribs, shoulders, and hand contusions. Amanda suffered the worst, fracturing her back, and is now forced to remain immobile and wear a back brace while recovering. As a self employed personal trainer who is highly active and fit, this is a devastating blow to not only her career, but also her lifestyle and general well-being. It will be long road to recovery, and during that indefinite time, Amanda cannot work. The days she spent helping others she will have to dedicate to rehabilitation, and in time, find normalcy in her life that is forever changed. Mason is beside her every step of the way, caring for her in any way she needs.

 They are left with increasing out of pocket expenses for the ambulance, hospital stay, doctor visits, specialists, possibly surgery, rehabilitation, medication, and now to replace their car. This is made more difficult because their means to make a living have been taken away.

This fund hopes to ease that process, and help them as they make their recovery, eventually returning to the life they had before this terrible accident.
