Christmas for Amanda's Children

As all of you know Amanda Light Haynes lost her battle to cancer on October 23rd,2014. She had been battling Triple Negative Breast Cancer for 2 years. She did many many rounds of chemo and radiation to which her body was very weak and tired. She was determined to do all she could to take care of her children.
We all remember her beautiful smile and laugh! She was an amazing woman,mother,daughter and wife!
Amanda went through much more than a lot of people even knew. She kept a smile on her face and stayed positive. She truly is an inspiration to me and many others.
I promised Amanda that we would take care of her kids and make sure they always had what the needed and knew mommy was always there for them.
She left behind her children Zach (14) Kendall (5) and Keaton (3). I cannot begin to imagine what it would be like to lose my mom as a kid. Zach is struggling the most being the oldest and understanding more than the girls. but how do you tell those little girls mommy isnt coming back. It breaks my heart for these babies and the family.
We have decided to take up money to buy gifts for the children for Christmas. That will be a huge load off of Amandas parents and the rest of the family. And I know Amanda will be so glad to know they got the toys they wanted for Christmas like all children do:) If more money is left over we will be giving that cash to the family to help cover extra expenses that Amanda left behind and such.
Amanda touched so many of us in so many ways over the years and I think the least we can do is give her children a great Christmas.
