Amanda had a very difficult year long battle with leukemia and yesterday, September 25th her body could not persist. However, I have no doubt Amanda entered heaven with the same light and joy she radiated here on earth.
Amanda amazed me as she continued smiling, had unbelievable courage and still expressed her trust in God. She physically continued working if she was not in the hospital and continued supervising via phone from her hospital bed and doing necessary paperwork multiple times—once even while in ICU. She felt strongly about continuing her responsibilities. She also felt so strongly for her family--especially her two children, Gabby and Angel as well as her husband, Martin and mother, Martha.
Most of us understand the emotional pain and stress that death causes and additionally it can cause financial burdens. Amanda humbly expressed her gratitude about all that had already been given. There is a need for funeral expenses and some additional for medical bills. Please keep the family members I mentioned in your prayers as well as many extended family members that are also grieving the loss of their loved one. Finally, it would be so appreciated if you could take the time to share with your friends and family. Thank you so much for your support in these things.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4- Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Amanda tuvo una batalla muy difícil durante todo el año con la leucemia y ayer, el 25 de septiembre su cuerpo no pudo persistir. Sin embargo, no tengo dudas de que Amanda entró al cielo con la misma luz y alegría que ella irradió aquí en la tierra.
Amanda me sorprendió mientras continuaba sonriendo, tenía un coraje increíble y todavía expresaba su confianza en Dios. Ella continuó trabajando físicamente si no estaba en el hospital y continuó supervisando por teléfono desde su cama de hospital y haciendo los trámites necesarios varias veces, una vez incluso mientras estaba en la unidad de cuidados intensivos.
