Bringing Emmett Home - An Adoption Fundraiser

My name is Amanda Elizabeth, and I have set out on a journey to bring home one little boy named Emmett. Emmett lives in Bulgaria, is four and a half years old, has special needs, and has been looking for his forever family since he was born.
I have been a nanny, mother of two angels in Heaven, and a follower of Jesus for a long time now. It is because of Him, that I felt called to adoption.
Am I crazy for adopting a child with special needs as a single parent? Maybe. But am I up for the challenge? Absolutely.
As most of you know, international adoptions cost close to $30,000, and since the beginning of my adoption I have been trying to earn this money by working two full-time jobs. I have been doing so for the last year.
On top of that, I have also been selling tshirts , and was hoping to do many other community-based fundraisers to help with the costs.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, that is no longer a possibility and the deadlines of my adoption are closing in quickly. And while I don't know specific dates, due to the pandemic, I know that Emmett, if all goes well, will hopefully be home by the end of 2020.
I am very hesitant to create a Go Fund Me, because I am not the sort of person to ask for help. I have always been known to work for what I need and what I want, and to pull myself up by my bootstraps when I'm down.
But due to COVID-19, and a nudging from the Lord, I have decided to create a fundraiser.
The Good Word tells us: "Until now you have asked for nothing in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete." -- John 16:24 (CSB)
I think it's finally time to start asking for some help.
I am asking you to join with me, whether in prayer, donations, or both to help me bring home a little boy who thinks he is forgotten, unloved, and undeserving. It has been four and a half years too long for this little boy to be without a home, and a family who loves him.
The funds used from this fundraiser will be put towards agency costs and travel expenses, as there are two trips needed to Bulgaria in order to bring Emmett home.
