Amanda Armstrong's Cancer Fund
Donation protected
Amanda, who is in her early forties, was diagnosed with Plasmablastic Lymphoma (PBL) in August 2019. She battled cancer for seven months pre-March shutdowns, and continues to do so! Due to the seriousness of her treatments, and the long distance that she has to drive for them, Amanda has been unable to work in the way she is accustomed to. Pre-diagnosis, Amanda worked in adult foster care, serving the disabled community for most of her adult life. She has helped individuals at risk, with various disabilities, reach levels of independence that others in the field have deemed very unlikely. Amanda is highly skilled in her attention to detail of care and the compassion that is required to provide such care. As you can imagine, navigating assistance programs available through social services has been very difficult in the midst of a pandemic, while simultaneously receiving chemo and radiation treatments. Amanda has often gone above and beyond for the clients she serves, community members, and her friends and family. Amanda has always taken care of others. During this extremely difficult time, let's take care of her!
