Amadee's Road to Recovery

My Sister, Amadee was diagnosed with Papillary Carcinoma (Thyroid Cancer) on August 28th. It all started with a visit to the emergency room the end of July with chest pain and shortness of breath. Following blood work and a CT, they found a mass the size of a golf ball in her left node in her throat. They scheduled several dr appts and a biopsy of the mass to confirm that it was stage 5 Thyroid Cancer which needed to be removed right away. On September 21st, she had a lengthy surgery to have her entire thyroid removed. During this time, she had to miss weeks of work because the recovery was so bad. Unfortunately November 29th, she is scheduled to have radiation which will require her to miss more work because she has to be in isolation for 7 days after the treatment which includes being away from her girls which is devastating because they are never apart.

Amadee could really use our help right now. She is a single mom of 2 beautiful girls...Brielle (7) and Kailyn (5). She is trying to provide a good life for her girls and this has obviously been a huge set back. For those of you that dont know how important your thyroid is for you...once it is removed....you are left with dealing with life long challenges which include hormones changes, weight issues, calcium imbalance, severe mood changes and many more complications that will arise.
