Hello everyone! My name is Gabriella Franklin. I’m 22 years old and am desperately asking for your help right now. That cutie you see in the photos is my 6 year old guinea pig, Teddy. Teddy is the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. He means everything to me. He’s helped me get through my toughest times over the past 6 years. Teddy is my soul pet and I can’t even put into words how much I need him. About 3 and a half weeks ago, the vet found lumps around Teddy’s throat. They did a fine needle aspiration on him and sent it to the lab. Unfortunately, a few days ago my world came crashing down, as the vet delivered the news that Teddy most likely has lymphoma. I have been a wreck ever since then. I have discussed Teddy’s options and I want to try everything I can to save his life. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn’t at least try. The vet wants to begin with a biopsy to be certain on what type of cancer it is, an X-ray of the abdomen to see if it’s spread, and finally some rounds of chemotherapy to hopefully save his life. I do not know exactly how much all of this will cost but I do know it’s going to be expensive. Times have been extremely tough with my dad being in and out of the hospital lately as well. He recently had the whipple procedure done due to having a cancerous mass on his pancreas. He is currently still recovering as well. I really need things to start looking up. I should have the total bill estimate in a few days from Teddy’s vet but I wanted to start sharing his story as soon as possible. Please help me save my baby. Anything is greatly appreciated.
