Reunited, and it feels so Good... well almost!!!
Ched and I are trying to live in the same city after living 2 years separated by over 1800 miles. We have had several set backs the last few years. Almost all of our friends know the story. Ched left his job in 2005 right before Hurricane Katrina, and we were going to live off the income of our rental property. Then Katrina came along and destroyed it all. We were hardly compensated by our Insurance company. We took what was left of our life savings and bet on a business. The business was promising, with great investors and promising clients, but then the whole things seemed to get swallowed up in the recession. I came out to Cali for a new job, and he stayed there to deal with the consequences.
Recently, everytime we save the money for him to make the trip, some catastrophe gets in the way. We aren't going to be hampered again! One of our dear friends in BR offered to help us with some cash. We need the cash, but I didn't want to burden anyone with a large sum.
We have estimated it will cost $950 in gas to get his F350 from BR to Los Angeles. The rental trailer will cost $1025. We have already spent over $3000 to pack up the furniture into a pod and move it across the country. Every time I think Ched is on his way (since March) there has been some kind of a financial setback.
We saved over a year to get him out here, but this is the last mile, and we keep coming up just shy of our goal. Ched quit his job in BR 3 weeks ago, so he isn't earning any money while he deals with the issues of closing up the house for the bank. Please help reunite us!!!
