Alzheimer Scotland Big Oban Christmas Raffle!

This year has been heartbreaking for so many -  and for people with dementia it has been particularly hard.

The impact of the Coved-19 virus and subsequent restrictions on social contact has had a disproportionate affect on people with dementia, missing connecting with friends and family, not getting about -  perhaps unable to understand or forgetting why this has been happening.   
 
Throughout, Alzheimer Scotland's teams in Argyll & Bute have been working hard to reduce isolation and loneliness, kept in touch by phone, letter -  even on line with video calls and 'virtual' get-togethers for those able to use the technology.   We've tried to be there -  helping families and unpaid carers too cope with the strains the virus has imposed. 

BUT, what we haven't been able to do -  is fundraise.

So thanks to  donations from Oban's amazing and generous shops and businesses we are having.......  The Big Christmas On-line Raffle!  

For  just a  suggested £3 donation your name -  make sure you  leave it -  will be entered into our draw -   and might appear on our Christmas goodies!  Whisky, rum,  luxury food, a huge bag of festive logs, vouchers to spend.

Please support us: we need to make sure nobody faces dementia alone.
