Hiya, thank you for stopping by. For those who don’t know me, I’m Alyxx, a London-based intimates design student specialising in trans adaptive design. I am also 3 years alcohol and drug-free as of 09/04/2025.

My transition journey started officially in 2022. I got sober the day after my 20th Birthday, after hitting rock bottom and deciding enough is enough. Sobriety and transitioning saved my life. I have built a life for myself beyond anything I could have dreamed of, and I am finally starting to recognise the man staring back at me in the mirror.

I have been on HRT for over 2 years now, and it has made a world of difference to my life and mental health; however, my top dysphoria has been a consistent negative impact on my physical and mental wellbeing and is beginning to become quite overwhelming. I am unable to leave the house without a binder, and as I study and work full-time, I'm often binding 10+ hours 5-6 days a week. This is starting to cause noticeable and lasting damage to my ribs and back, which is worsened by my pre-existing medical conditions and is becoming unsustainable.

Top Surgery feels like the final big step towards living in a body that truly feels like my own. It would have an immeasurable positive impact on my physical and mental health, my self-confidence, and my ability to continue showing up in my career and studies and means freedom from daily pain and crippling dysphoria.

Due to current waitlist times, I am unlikely to be able to access surgery on the NHS for another 4+ years, and I simply cannot keep living like this for that long for both my mental and physical health's sake. Private Top Surgery in the UK costs upwards of £10k, so I am aiming to raise £9k here and save whatever I can on my student budget to cover the rest. While I plan to run some fundraising events and sell commissions to help cover the cost, starting with this fundraiser feels like a huge step for me and has made me feel much less helpless in my situation.

Asking for help like this is incredibly difficult for me, and it is uncomfortable being so vulnerable about something so intimate, but for the sake of my future, I have to try.
