This is Alyssa Zapata, she will soon be 8 years old and LOVES Gymnastics she is an aspiring Olympic. Alyssa has been in team 1 year, this is her first ever competition season and placed 1st on balance beam for her age group. Placed 2nd place for vault, 3rd for Uneven bars 5th for floor and 4th for all around score of 35.05. She trains with GMGC Levittown and she is a Level 3 gymnast. She is very loved by her coaches and and teammates. At her young age she has such dedication and resilience to become the best gymnast and looks forward to being the next Gabby Douglas and Simone Biles! Her to go to outfits are always a leotard and tights she is always practicing and lives and breathes gymnastics! She is due to travel and participate in the Tim rand at West palm beach Florida. From March 1st til the 4th . Has a total of 7 meets this competition season. As time to travel is soon approaching I've decided to create this go fund me in hopes to be able to pay for travel expenses, uniform costs additional fees to cover this year gymnastic costs.
Mom's day to day to make her dreams come true:
So I am a 34 year old single mom of 3 AMAZING girls! Damaryis(17), Sabrina (16) and our baby Alyssa(8). I work with special needs children. I am passionate about helping others and that has portrayed on to my children. My eldest dreams of becoming a lawyer and working for those who don't have someone to fight for them. My middle one is my care bear she is the one always caring and catering to others she aspires to be a Surgeon. My little one is caring , always helping out her younger cousins and being the leader of the pack. My aspiring Olympic gymnast. We live in a basement apartment with only one bedroom. Yes, 4 females one bathroom, one bedroom, lol we make it work! Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays are Alyssa's training days. Her gym is about 45 mins away from home. So imagine 4 days of week of NY traffic. During the week Aly and I get home after 9 pm to do homework and get ready for bed. In order to have more family time I am forced to take my girls with me to training and they will work on homework in the gym while waiting for their little sister. However they are teenagers and their homeworks consist or computer usage, so this is not always the best scenario. They are also teenagers and don't want to be stuck in a gym waiting for hours of training/traffic. As much as our lives revolves around Alys gymnastic schedules her sisters and I are happy to give her this opportunity because we see how much she truly truly loves gymnastics. Unfortunately her passion has put a strain on my economic situation. So I would ask you beautiful people to consider giving into Aly's gymnastic dream, to her love and dedication to the sport. Monies received from this campaign will be used for her expenses as a growing gymnast! Any amount is greatly appreciated, God bless you all!
