Hello my name is Pastor Alvin Harris. I Pastored in the Jonesville, NC for a little over 15 years. A little over a year ago I had some complications and had to go on Dialysis because of my Kidney function. Dialysis is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do and I go to Dialysis three times a week. It makes me feel drained and like I have no energy sometimes. It also makes me feel a little dizzy sometimes too. Receiving a Kidney, having a Kidney Transplant besides a miracle would be the best thing in the world to me right now! The Doctors said that I will feel so much better and that receiving a Kidney Transplant would give me a better life so I can get back to doing the things I Love most Teaching/Preaching the Word of God and Coaching Fifth and Sixth Graders in Football. But before I can do anything, I’ve got to raise some money to help with the medicines especially the anti-rejection medicines. The Kidney Foundation needs to see this money in the bank, so they can move forward in putting me on the Transplant List. Right now I have past and been cleared on the doctors part, but I am on financial hold until I get some money raised before February 1, 2018. After that I will be having fundraisers to continue to help with those medicines and also donations will go to help mortgage and additional bills. Thank you for your generous giving. Pastor Alvin and Teresa Harris
I also need Donors! If you would like to donate a kidney please contact Living Donor Coordinator Abdominal Organ Transplant Wake Forest Baptist Health 140 Charlois Boulevard 2nd Floor Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Ok, the time span after receiving a Kidney is 3 years to make sure the person can get back to normal. The anti-rejection medicines will be for the life of the kidney. I will continue to do fundraisers throughout the year.
