I was diagnosed with stage 4, terminal breast cancer on October 1, 2013 at 31 years old.  and given a prognosis with an average survival time of 12 to 18 months.  I have two kids, who are now 9 and 12 years old. The cancer at time of diagnosis was in both breasts, lymph nodes and 4 areas of my bones. It's called Triple Negative, Grade 3 Invasive Breast cancer. In July of 2014, we found out that the chemo I had been on, stopped working and the cancer had spread further in the bones. On August 22nd we discovered the cancer had continued to spread even more and is now in my lungs and brain, as well as many new areas of the bones. It is spreading fast. I did a single high dose of brain radiation on Sept 3rd, 2014 to try and stop the cancer in the brain. On Sept 15th, 2014, I started a new Chemo called Gemzar.. just trying to slow or stop this cancer some how. The prognosis though is not good and if the radiation we tried for the brain does not work, we will be looking at me being in hospice or worse sometime in the next 3 or 4 months. At this point I am just hoping the chemo and radiation will let me make it through the holidays. Since July I have been in the hospital 3 times, all 3 times very serious with infections, blod clots and internal bleeding, causing my fight to be even harder and more expensive.

I grew up in Ohio but previously my family lived in D.C for my husbands job. Thankfully on August 8th my family and I moved from the D.C. area to Ohio to be closer to our family and friends. My husband is allowed to telework from home, butmust return to work in D.C. once a month at his own expense for a week at a time to do in office meetings or give up his job. Currently he can not give it up because we need it. There are many expenses involved with my cancer treatment and we continue to have a need for financial assistance as well as other forms of assistance. Cancer treatments, medications, making sure my husband gets back to D.C. once a month for in person meetings for work.. (his company is not covering cost for these trips so we have to pay for his hotel, travel etc our selves but he must go or lose his job) household bills, etc etc... Not to mention trying to give my kids some kind of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Any and all support is truly appreciated with a real need for it.

I will continue to fight this fight as hard as I can in order to stay alive for my children and my husband but we need your help (financial) and emotional to do so.  We cannot do it alone and if we cannot get help I will be forced to stop fighting because we simply cannot afford to keep going this way on our own. Thank you so much  for taking the time to read this and God Bless!
