<div>On September 2, 2025, Taylor Nunez - a devoted mother of two and a dedicated high school English teacher in Worcester Public Schools of over a decade - received a devastating Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis. Just 36-years-old, Taylor, her family and dear friends were overcome with the heartbreaking news.

<div>Before ALS, Taylor was a runner and someone who found joy and balance through physical activity. She deeply misses that former life—the freedom of movement, independence, and connection to her body that once came so naturally. Though ALS has changed what her days look like, it has not changed her love for her family - especially her children 7-year-old Matilda and 1.5-year-old Mickey - nor the joy in teaching at the Gerald Creamer Center. Each day, Taylor seeks opportunities to be present, engaged and see the small joys around her.

<div>While Taylor continues to work hard to maintain the current state of her condition, there is the sad understanding that this disease will progress, ultimately leading to a loss of complete mobility, control over how her body functions and very expensive care.

<div>Funds raised will help ensure that Taylor can remain in her home with her family by covering essential needs such as mobility aids/wheelchair, a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, necessary home modifications and aid for her husband Mike and children. Support—whether by donating or sharing—will help provide stability, dignity, and the opportunity for Taylor to continue building a life centered on love and togetherness as she courageously fights ALS.
