ALS is a very expensive disease. Although much of the equipment and medication is covered by insurance, there are copays and daily caregiving expenses necessary in order to keep me working to bring home a paycheck and continue our health insurance coverage. These expenses are not covered and we must pay them out of pocket. Caregiving fees alone are more than my paycheck. This fund will help us bridge the gap to make sure Dan continues to have the best care possible at home. ALS is 100% fatal with an average life expectancy of 2-4 years. There are no survivors, no real treatments, and no known cause. We are in year 5 of this dreaded disease and it has already taken so much. Please help us as your heart leads you to.
