Already Fighting Cancer, Let Abra Keep Her Home
My sister, Abra Shiner, is fighting metastatic breast cancer that is spreading through her lymph system. Her new landlords are attempting to evict her from her home of 23 years.
Her prognosis is unstable and her life expectancy could be anywhere between a few months and a few years. Her survival is precarious. Her heightened stress levels after being threatened with eviction are already having a very negative impact on her treatment. The ordeal of being forced from her home could literally kill her.
Since moving into her first, and only, apartment at age 19, she has always been an exceptional tenant. Her new landlords appear to have had multiple businesses in property investing and house flipping. We are urging them to drop their pursuit of an eviction order and allow her to keep living in her home. Forcing her out at this stage in her illness is cruel and heartless. She needs the stability of staying in the same home she has lived in for decades, not the disruption of being pushed out.
We are raising funds to contribute to the legal process of fighting this inhumane and dangerous attempt to kick her out of her home. Thank you so much for helping my sister to enjoy her life in peace!
We have reached our goal! Thank you so much for your support.
