Sherri Needs a New Heart

My sister, Sherri, has been dealing with heart failure since she was  19 years old.  Time, surgeries and other catastrophic events have caused her heart to deteriorate to the point that she needs a transplant.  The doctors here at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX, have determined that she does not have the time to wait for a heart, and have elected to implant an LVAD, which is an internal pump that will assist her heart.  The time spent in Houston  will be about 2 months.  Someone has donated a car to get to and from the hospital and all the appointments, but it needs work.  Also, we are required to stay somewhere on the ground floor with the ability to prepare our own food.  The money raised here will be used to make the vehicle safe, for a good clean place to stay and other normal living expenses.  Your help will be greatly appreciated!
